On Saturday, the Fighting Scots women’s volleyball team defeated Lock Haven University at Lock Haven. This was their second game in PSAC competition. Before this game, the Scots sat at 10-2 overall and Lock Haven was 8-5.
Edinboro started the game off with a strong lead, winning the first match 25-10 against the Bald Eagles. After a strong comeback from Lock Haven, it was Edinboro who took the second match, 27-25. The Fighting Scots also took the third match with a score of 25- 17, making this not only their first win in the PSACs but also their first sweep of conference play. Tessa Sikora, Challen Litwiler, Hannah Cantrill and Cierah Jackson were all players thriving in the game. Jackson, who is a freshman, had 15 kills in the contest.
The Fighting Scots women’s volleyball team will return to McComb Fieldhouse to face Shippensburg University on Friday at 7 p.m. and again on Saturday to face Millersville University on Saturday at 12 p.m.
