The Spectator

The Spectator is PennWest Edinboro's campus newspaper published online by students under the direction of a faculty adviser. The Spectator started in 1935, but was not the first Edinboro student newspaper - the Normal News was printed in 1865. Through the years, The Spectator has been given opportunities to cover famous people such as President William Howard Taft in 1912 poet Robert Frost in 1940.

K-pop Demon Hunters is a film that came seemingly out of nowhere on Netflix and became so popular that it is breaking ground in other ways as well. The film has a great message for kids and teens while being enjoyable enough for adults not to get sick of it easily.

Adapted sports are an important component of PennWest’s identity that most people are unaware of. This must change as adapted athletics are a continuously growing field that deserves recognition and respect.

Undergraduates in any major can now earn Exercise Science graduate credits while they pursue their bachelor’s degree.

"I’ve spent all 4 years here at Edinboro writing for the Spectator. I am grateful I’ve been able to write for a website and paper. I am so glad we have this website back to give students an outlet to publish on and I am grateful to have been an editor for this group." -Emma McNeeley
