88.9 WFSE Fighting Scots Radio

Edinboro radio station WJKB was initially housed in Centennial Hall in 1964, and presented through a closed circuit using telephone lines. In 1970, the station switched to airing over cable TV locally. In 1978, the station obtained an FCC license to broadcast over the air. Now known as 88.9 WFSE - Fighting Scots Radio, the station plays a variety of the best rock and alternative/indie music of all time, with specialty shows featured throughout the week. WFSE provides live coverage of many campus events, streams 24/7, and serves the community with local news and pertinent information.

DJ of the Month

February 2024: DJ Aaron

My name is Aaron Cronin, I am a senior journalism major at Pennwest Edinboro. I am the current Program Director, News Editor and weather man for the campus radio, newspaper and television respectively. What drew me into the media groups is the creative outlets available and my passion of self-expressionthrough music and writing. In my radio show Flow Radio, I love to explore new music, themes and genres. You can also find my articles listed in more than just news. I’ve written for our voices and arts sections as well. Looking for the best outdated weather? Well I’m sure my part in Edinboro Essentials will have you covered!
