Meet Our Radio DJs

DJ Aaron

My name is Aaron Cronin, I am a senior journalism major at Pennwest Edinboro. I am the current Program Director, News Editor and weather man for the campus radio, newspaper and television respectively. What drew me into the media groups is the creative outlets available and my passion of self-expressionthrough music and writing. In my radio show Flow Radio, I love to explore new music, themes and genres. You can also find my articles listed in more than just news. I’ve written for our voices and arts sections as well. Looking for the best outdated weather? Well I’m sure my part in Edinboro Essentials will have you covered!

DJ Bailey

Hi, I’m Bailey, one of The Fighting Scots Radio’s Music Directors! I’m a sophomore journalism major here at PennWest Edinboro University. I decided to get involved with the campus radio last semester because of my love for music, and specifically, the variety of genres that we play on the station. Along with our campus radio station, I play the alto saxophone in the Spirit of the Scots Marching Band!

DJ BennyK

Hi listeners of 88.9 WFSE Fighting Scots Radio! I’m Ben Kalmey, or Dj BennyK.

This Spring 2024 semester is my fourth semester with a radio show, and I’m excited to get back in the studio. I’m a junior Strategic Communication major with a minor in Music. I also plan on getting a Master’s Degree in Corporate Communications.

Other than being a radio DJ, I am one of the Commanding Officers of the Spirit of the Scots Marching Band, the secretary of the Nu Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, a member of the Applied Communicators of Edinboro, an Edinboro Writing Center Tutor, a student worker at the Beehive, and a Crew Team Leader at a local wedding venue.

I enjoy playing music (I’ve played trombone for 11 years, and I know how to play the ukulele), listening to music, cooking, reading, and spending time with my family, friends, and pets (I have 6 cats, a dog, and a 120-gallon fish tank).

Be sure to check out my show, “The Nothing Show,” on our “Radio Shows” page. The show time, and its description can be found there.

DJ Colton

Hello there! I'm Colton Steudler, and I'm a junior Strategic Communications major at PennWest Edinboro. I'm one of the current Music Directors for Fighting Scots Radio, but I've also held the positions of Program Director and General Manger. I joined WFSE in early 2021, writing news scripts and going on the air to read those scripts. After being trained and creating a catchy name, I went live with my radio show: The Jumpin' Jukebox, which you can follow on Instagram!

DJ Dylan

My name’s Dylan Mitchell and I run a show on WFSE called Carousel. I’m majoring in computer science, but I also enjoy music as well as science fiction, drawing, and hanging out with my friends. I decided to join WFSE because I always had a deep admiration and respect for college radio as a place where students can express their taste in music and listeners can hear songs they would have never heard anywhere else. That sort of connection one can have holds a special place in my heart and I try to create an atmosphere like that with my show.

DJ Luca

I’m Adalyn Corona, the Chief Announcer for Fighting Scots Radio. I’m a journalism major, with a focus in broadcast journalism. Along with this, I also enjoy writing fictional works, dabble in voice overs, and activism. I joined WFSE because I felt I could make a difference since one voice can reach out to someone in some way and to introduce those same people to music that may speak to them. I hope to do more on my show and to bring attention to bigger things in the future.

The DJ of Many Things

My name is Aaron Fontanella, AKA The DJ of Many Things, I’m a sophomore English writing major at Penn West Edinboro. I was drawn to radio because of my love of music and passion for geek culture. Outside of radio I am a part of the Edinboro marching band, pep band, choir, and I am the President of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

DJ Slay

Hello! My name is Bridget aka DJ Slay🤩 I am a sophomore double major or Early Childhood Education and Deaf Education at PennWest Edinboro University. I am involved in the honors program, highland ambassadors, PSEA, radio club, and asl club. I love every aspect of campus and I am so grateful for all the opportunities it has to offer!

DJ Sophie Joe

Hello, I'm Sophia and I am the current General Manager of WFSE. I'm a junior communication major. I am also a member of Applied Communicators of Edinboro. I enjoy reading, singing, and journaling. I also have a little dog named Moo Moo who I adore. I have been in radio since 2021 and have held the position of Program Director and Productions director. I love radio so much and it has become a large motivator in my pursuit for a career.
