The Music Department will be holding their annual “Holiday Christmas Music” concert on Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. in the Louis C. Cole Auditorium.

This free concert is open to the campus and community and has been put on by Edinboro University every year for more than 40 years. “I played in it when I went to school here back in the 70s,” Chuck Lute, Edinboro University marching band director said.

Lute talked about the concert and the different groups that will be performing. “Performing groups are the university singers and chorale, directed by Brent Weber, the symphonic wind ensemble, directed by Chuck Lute, the jazz ensemble, directed by Dr. Patrick Jones and the bagpipe band, directed by Patrick Regan and Chuck Lute.”

The concert will feature a wide variety of music, ranging from symphonic music to jazz, and also Christmas tunes. “Even bagpipes will be playing their version of ‘Angels We Have Heard on High’ and ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,’” Lute said.

Admission is free to public.
