On the evening of Nov. 17, the Erie Art Gallery hosted the Chimera Soirée. Chimera is an Edinboro undergraduate journal consisting of student art and literature that is published by both the art department and English department. Over 50 people came to the art gallery in celebration of the students’ work. 

The event started at 6 p.m. and began by showcasing visual arts by the following students: Katy Broach, Levi Colton, Rachel Maly, Allison DiPofi, Natalie Miczikus, Caitlin Wismer, Mikala Wells, Amanda Anstett, Shana Theuret, Lauren Novak, Luke Kiefer, Zofia Chrzanowska, Kyle Reidmiller, Jennifer Lau, Shoniece Mercado, Robert Campbell, Kattie Jones, Madison Morrow, Jacob McCool, Gina Yonko, Narissa Kennedy, Amelia Trettel, Rachel Aubel, Tyler Hawes, Jericho Barkley, Brianna Higby, Allison Eaton and Sarah McFeely. 

At 7 p.m., the following students read their literature pieces: Rachel Maly, Virginia Olds, James Palo, Lucas Brown, Rosie McMullen and Livia Homerski. 

The Chimera Journal will also feature pieces of writing by the following students: Ryan Connor, Trevor Johnson, Mary Lindeman, Taylor Szuchon and Rachel Oliver. After the readings, the managing editors Madison Morrow, Piper Olsen and Livia Homerski gave their closing remarks, and thanked everyone for the turnout. 

After remarks, attendees were able to watch the cinema works submitted by: Drew Lehman, Becky Korff, Kaleb Pierotti, John MacDonald, Braden McClain and Sal Frederick. 

The Chimera Journal will be published during the spring semester and will be available for students in April.
