The 2016 Student Keystone Press Awards were announced this past week. Members of The Spectator and Edinboro Campus Media were honored with awards for their hard work.
In the "Website" category, edinboronow.com received a first place award credited to the entirety of the campus media staff. Be sure to browse the site for past issues in our archives, along with noteworthy features like podcasts and the weekly ETV newscast housed on the main page.
For the "Ongoing News Coverage" category, Logan Lilly and Karlee Dies won the second place award for their coverage of the November 2014 off-campus shooting. Lilly’s story, “Gunter pleads guilty to murder” and Dies’ “10-Month Investigation relies on phone records,” were among those recognized for the award.
Emma Giering received an Honorable Mention for the “Our Viewpoint” of the Voices section in the "Editorial" category. You can see our latest viewpoint, on the educational policies of Bernie Sanders, here.
