Edinboro University is holding their 23rd annual Highland Games and Scottish Festival Sept. 8-11. The festival includes an array of festivities including art, food, dance, athletics, live music, beer tastings, kids games and student competitions.

The festivities range from live art shows, to archery, beer tasting, workshops, tournaments, competitions, Scottish clan gatherings, weaving and live musical performances.
The Calling of the Clans is Edinboro’s way to stay in touch with the local Scottish families. Local Scottish families can register on Edinboro University's Highland Games website for clan registration. Registration is free, and clan members will receive tent space under the large tent assigned for clans. Clans are also invited to go to the Ceilidh dinner for $35 a ticket and $5 per table. The event will start Friday at 8 p.m. and will include the calling of the clans, a bonfire and drum circle.
