Edinboro University Student Government Association (EUSGA) met on Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Frank G. Pogue Student Center Multipurpose Room.
The meeting began with the induction of new congress members; these members are Elaina Krafick, Jared Weyman, Maria Cruz, David Correa Jr. and Jack Self. EUSGA is still looking for more congress members to join. Requirements are that the student is in good academic standing, and has a minimum GPA of 2.5. These additions serve on committees and vote during executive board meetings.
After the induction of the new members, EUSGA President Olivia Franchok announced that Director of Operations Leslie Colonello will be stepping down from her position, effective Jan. 1. She will be working two to three hours a week as new applicants are interviewed for the position. In the meantime, the EUSGA student worker will begin to take on some of Colonello’s previous responsibilities, including managing the C-Store and keeping track of club funds.
Public Relations Director Majd Al-Halaby also announced the annual EUSGA Christmas party, which is set for Dec. 2. The party will take place at the conclusion of the congress meeting that day, which begins at 6:30 p.m. EUSGA has 240 hats and 240 scarves to give out as door prizes that day.
The next EUSGA meeting will take place Nov. 18 in the multipurpose room at 6:30 p.m. Edinboro University President Guiyou Huang will be in attendance.
