Make a list of everything you have ever dreamed of. Writing your aspirations down ensures they stay at the forefront of your mind.

Ask yourself, if you were to die tomorrow, what would you most want to have done? Would you regret not doing something? What are your wildest most far-fetched dreams? What is most important that you fulfill as a person? What do you want to achieve in life?

Do it. Make your dreams come true. Achieve whatever it is that you want to achieve in life.

Travel the world.

Visit every continent in the world if that’s what you want to do. Hike Mt. Everest. Kayak the Victorian falls. Play with sea turtles on the Galapagos. Watch a volcano erupt. Scuba dive in the great barrier reef. Go to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Visit England, Scotland, Ireland and Romania. Trek the Brazilian Amazon. Celebrate St. Patrick’s day in Dublin, Ireland. Sail a boat to a private Caribbean island just like Captain Jack Sparrow.

Just travel and explore the vast earth and all the topographical features it has to offer. There’s so much to see, and you are doing yourself a disservice if you don’t experience the world’s beauty.

Travel around North America.

As college students, money is a factor in every decision we make, but especially in travel. If traveling outside of North America is out of the question, explore this country and neighboring Mexico and Canada.

Visit the Grand Canyon. Visit Yellowstone National Park. Climb a mountain in Alaska. Surf in the ocean. Go wine tasting in Napa, California. Visit Times Square in New York City.

Try a profession in a different field.

It doesn’t mean having to quit your job or major. Branch out: take a class that seems interesting to you, or volunteer in a field that is different from yours. Throughout your life, continuously try new things. This will lead you to learn more about yourself than you could ever imagine.

Learn a new language.

When you know one or more languages, you will get much further in life. Learn Latin, French, German, Spanish, Japanese or even Welsh. Challenge yourself and better yourself. This will pay off when you travel to new countries and also in the career world. Employers prefer a multilingual applicant to an individual who only speaks one language.

Face your fears.

Heights, water, the dark, spiders, or whatever your biggest fears are, face them by doing something out of your comfort zone. Go skydiving or scuba diving in the ocean. Do something adventurous and exhilarating. Do something you wouldn’t normally do. You only live once.

Push yourself.

Run a marathon or a triathlon. Even if you’re not a runner, push yourself into accomplishing something worthwhile. You can also take up a new sport. Take up archery, football, swimming, track, soccer, or dancing. Just get out there and get involved in something new. You will make new friends as well as learn a new skill. Sports are great for those who want to stay fit, by providing them with daily exercise.

Achieve your goal weight.

Every person probably has an ideal weight they want to be. Why not go for it now? Stop procrastinating; do it now. You will feel better about yourself and your health will improve as a result.

These are just some ideas for you to make your own bucket list. Think of everything you have ever wanted to do in your life and write it down. It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to fulfill the list, just work at it little by little everyday. Keep it on your mind, and plan yearly trips around your list.
