With the start of the semester already upon Edinboro students and staff, critical deadlines near closer and closer. First, the last day to add or drop a class is Feb. 1. In person, you can head to Hamilton Hall by 4:30 p.m., or you can do it digitally (on S.C.O.T.S.) by 11:59 p.m.

This is the last time to adjust your schedule without any academic ramifications. According to Edinboro.edu, “From the second through the tenth week, or an equivalent period in a session, students who withdraw from their classes will receive a W (withdrawal) on their academic record for the courses from which they withdrew.” You can withdraw from a course until Friday, April 9 at 11:59 p.m., unless the course has a special start or end date.

Remember, if future employers request your transcript, they may be able to see the “W” marked beside those courses. You can locate the S.C.O.T.S. sword and shield icon on the MyEdinboro portal.

If you’re graduating, you must submit the graduation application by Monday, Feb. 8 at 11:59 p.m. According to the Boro Weekly email, “Graduation applications submitted after that time will incur a $100 late fee.” You can submit the application on S.C.O.T.S.

Midterms are marked for March 13. Pay attention in class, and check the syllabus or look at your schedule to know the time and date for specific midterm assignments and exams. The final exam period starts on Tuesday, May 4. Keep an eye out for the exact date.

The last day of the Spring 2021 semester is Friday, May 7 with the tentative commencement on Saturday, May 8.
