The Edinboro University Student Government Association (EUSGA) met in the Pogue Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) on Sept. 23.
The first line on the agenda was to induct four new members onto the executive board after this past week’s elections. Seats up for grabs were vice president, director of public relations, parliamentarian and secretary. All applicants announced their candidacy at an open meeting Sept. 16. Leslie Colonello, director of operations of EUSGA, said, “all candidates must have at least a 2.5 GPA and be in good standing with judicial affairs and academic affairs.”
The newly inducted members of the executive board are: Madison Krol, secretary; Matthew Buckingham, parlimentarian; Nick Helfer, vice president; and Majd Al Halaby, director of public relations.
After inducting the members, EUSGA President Olivia Franchock discussed Fighting Scots Appreciation Day, which will take place Oct. 2, all day long. This celebration will include free food trucks, Rita’s Italian ice and games.
The next EUSGA meeting will take place on Monday, Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Pogue MPR.
A later email confirmed that the recognition ceremony will be held at Sox Harrison Stadium, rain or shine. In addition, those that attend will be allowed to bring two guests. |
