During Monday’s Edinboro University Student Government meeting, congress discussed their annual conference and which members will be attending next spring.
Both congress members and executive board members attend the Conference on Student Government Association each spring semester during break to expose themselves to the world of student government and bring back information to further Edinboro’s own organization.
Twelve members total will be attending this year’s conference. Historically, the process through which the decision of which members will and will not be attending has been done in such a manner that has caused some disagreements and controversy among the organization.
To avoid this happening again and in the future, the executive board offered the floor to the congressmen to discuss a better possible process.
After open discussion among a majority of congress members, as well as the executive board and the organization’s advisors, several ideas were presented but nothing has yet to be officially decided on.
Once the new process is adopted, EUSGA will begin figuring out who will and will not be attending this coming spring’s COSGA.
