Students from Edinboro University, as well as students from the 13 other PASSHE schools, converged upon the state capitol in Harrisburg from Tuesday, April 9 to Wednesday, April 10. They arrived in order to lobby for increased funding for the state system of education as a whole. The informational packet given to students specifically said, “The state system is seeking a 2019-20 appropriation of $505.8 million, an increase of$37.7 million.”

In their time at the state capitol, students got a chance to speak to representatives and other members of the state government about their experiences within the state school system. See Voices, Page B4 for a further breakdown of the trip.
