Edinboro Student Affairs and the University Programming Board announced digital plans for their second annual Unicorn Day on April 9. It starts live through the university’s Facebook page at 8:30 a.m.
Student Affairs and UPB organized various activities for the event. First, there is a coloring book page posted on social media and in the recent email to staff and students.
In addition, according to the message, “The Programming Board will be hosting a baking contest and photo scavenger hunt for the day, these will be activities you can do at home with the stuff you have around the house.” UPB will post the baking contest submissions they receive. Students can submit pictures by posting to Instagram and tagging @edinboroupb. Pictures can also be messaged directly to UPB. The post with the most likes will receive a gift card.
For the photo scavenger hunt, students can post the pictures and tag @edinboroupb. Students can post as many pictures as they want. The more photos submitted — the more chances to win. The winner will receive a gift card.
Both competitions will end at 6 p.m. More details can be found below.
There will also be a “Cell Phone Smackdown Game Show” at 5 p.m. This game will involve answering trivia questions, and you can win $200 in prizes, sent through Venmo or PayPal. You can find the event, here.
There are two different events taking place at 6 p.m.
Magician Ben Seidman will perform over Vimeo. Log into the event here, and the password is "maccato."
Edinboro eSports will also hold a "Fortnite" solo gaming tournament. Students can email esports@edinboro.edu to secure a spot and your game code. Codes will be sent out 15 minutes before the match. There will be a limit of 100 players and the top three will receive prizes.
Big Heads and Beats will draw online digital caricatures while you listen to music over Zoom from 7-9 p.m. Students can receive their final product through email. You can find the event here, and the password is "BHC2020."
They will end the night at 9 p.m. with singer/songwriter CASSIDI performing live on Zoom. You'll be able to find the event, here.

This is a deep-dive list. A list filled with titles that will impress your relatives when you mention them around the roast beast (but do not actually gather, of course, because of the pandemic). |

“Therapeutic” is the perfect word to describe “Is Enough.” The mellow beats and calm vocals provide a relaxing backdrop for a study night or a Sunday stroll. |
“For most of us musicians, it’s not just the job. It’s our whole identity, it’s our whole world, it’s an extension of our personality.” |
Starting in the local area, the Erie Philharmonic will continue their annual Holiday Concert Tour of Homes. The series gives tours of decorated homes, along with Philharmonic performances in that same location. |
“Late nights spent creating art will go on. Reflections of fall, in all of its splendor, will be seen in the ripples of Edinboro Lake in the years ahead. And yes, the sounds of bagpipes will linger.” |
