The University Singers and Chorale spring concert was held April 30 in the Dr. William P. Alexander Music Center Recital Hall. Pianist Regina Shirley accompanied the ensembles, directed by Dr. Craig L. McGaughey.

Opening and closing the program was the combined University Singers and Chorale. The concert featured five soloists: Shelby Hutton, Abigail Kraeer, Mikayla Schroyer, Kaitlyn Hallock and Cierra Kirkland, who performed throughout the show.

Music education student Matthew Lowther had the opportunity to conduct the university chorale in their performance of “Set Me As A Seal,” with Anthony Williams joining on the euphonium. Clarinet player Kenneth Vinston joined the ensembles in their performance of “Simple Gifts.”

Closing out the concert was a performance of “For Good” from “Wicked,” featuring soloist Kaitlyn Hallock.

Their next performance will include “For Good” at the spring graduation commencement ceremony.
