Wayne Bradford named head football coach by The Spectator
Wayne Bradford is Edinboro's 15th head football coach.

In a press conference held at 3:45 p.m. Thursday in McComb Fieldhouse, Director of Athletics Bruce Baumgartner announced Interim Head Football Coach Wayne Bradford is now the official head coach, removing the interim tag.

"We are very pleased with what we see," said Baumgartner. "It was consensus of the athetic administration. We have been talking about it for three or four, maybe five weeks. We did our due diligence looking at and analyzing all the information, and I think it was a unanimous decision supported by the athetlic administration and the president."

"I've been waiting for this day for a long time, and especially since March 29 when I was named interim," Bradford said. "It's tremendous. This is my home, and it's a dream come true and I wouldn't rather be a head football coach at anywhere [other] than Edinboro University."

Additionally, the university is extending the contracts of assistant coaches Chris Limbaugh, Colin Neely, Joe Wanson and Jack Corey, according to a press release from Edinboro Sports Information Director Robert Shreve.

"Coach Wayne Bradford exemplifies the strength and persistence that have become fundamental to the DNA of a Fighting Scot," said Edinboro University President Dr. H. Fred Walker. "After inheriting an Edinboro program that tied a school record for wins, Coach Bradford maintained a confident attitude and led the Fighting Scots to another winning season."
