Suspect charged in Rose Hall thefts

Caitlin Smolnik, 19, has been charged in connection with multiple Rose Hall thefts this semester. According to a police report, Smolnik was charged with four counts of burglary, four counts of theft by unlawful taking, four counts of receiving stolen property and one count of access device fraud.

According to an email sent out by the university, the accused is no longer present on campus.

The email also states: “If you have information regarding criminal incidents on campus, please contact the Edinboro University Police at (814) 732-2921. Anonymous tips, including photos or video, can be submitted using the iReport feature of the EU Shield safety app. Call in anonymous tips to (814) 732-1TIP (1847).”
